Aged Care

The Larrakia Nation’s Aged Care Service provides home and community care to people who are frail and/or aged and young adults with a disability. Our service aims to support individuals and families to maintain health, wellbeing and a good quality of life. We achieve this by assisting people to remain in their home and socially connected.

We specialise in providing a culturally appropriate service to Aboriginal people living in Darwin and Palmerston. At the present time, we have more than 80 clients receiving a range of services, depending on their individual needs, delivered by our caring and committed team of 9 staff.

Based at Bagot Community, the Larrakia Aged Care service can provide the following assistance to eligible clients:
  • Meals
  • Domestic assistance,
  • Cleaning
  • Paying bills and attending to business matters
  • Shopping
  • Transport to appointments
  • Social support and activities
  • Centre-based activities
  • Yard maintenance
The Larrakia Nation’s Aged Care service is funded by both the Australian and Northern Territory Governments. If you would like to learn more about our service, please do not hesitate to contact our Aged Care Coordinator on 08 8985 6811 or via email at agedcare@larrakia.com
